INEC Releases Final List of Presidential Candidates for 2027 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially published the final list of candidates vying for the presidency in the 2027 elections, showcasing a competitive lineup that includes notable political figures such as Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi. This announcement comes as Nigeria gears up for what is anticipated to be a closely contested election, reflecting the evolving political landscape of the country.

Out of the eighteen individuals named on the list, a striking 88.9 percent are male, with only two female candidates participating in the race.
