Gateway Air Set to Facilitate Hajj Pilgrimage for Southwest States, Says Gov. Abiodun

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has revealed plans to leverage Gateway Air's capabilities to assist in the airlift of Hajj pilgrims, emphasizing a collaborative approach with southwest states. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve the logistics and overall experience of pilgrims during the sacred journey to Mecca.

Governor Abiodun highlighted that the arrangement is particularly beneficial for pilgrims from Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti states, aiming to streamline the transportation process and reduce the burdens often associated with travel for the Hajj. By tapping into private-sector resources, Ogun State seeks to ensure a more efficient and reliable airlift service for those undertaking this important religious pilgrimage.

“Our commitment is to explore all viable opportunities to facilitate a seamless Hajj experience for our people. We believe that by working together with our neighboring states and the private sector, we can enhance the pilgrimage experience significantly,” Abiodun stated during a recent address.
