Tourists Club International Unveils New Attractions in Badagry for World Tourism Day 2026

Tourists Club International (TCI) has officially announced the establishment of two new tourism destinations in Badagry, Lagos State, in celebration of the 2026 World Tourism Day. The newly introduced Tourists Club International Art Gallery and the Tourists Club International Forest Reserve are designed to align with this year's theme, "Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism," which emphasizes the impact of technology on the travel industry.

During the announcement made on Sunday, Dr. Osa Mbonu-Amadi, President of TCI, articulated the organization's commitment to integrating technology into tourism development. He stated, "The establishment of the Tourists Club International Art Gallery and the Tourists Club International Forest Reserve is our practical response to the 2026 World Tourism Day theme. We are using documentation, digital visibility and responsible tourism development to ensure that Badagry’s artistic, historical and natural assets are not overlooked in the rapidly changing tourism landscape."

The initiative seeks to document, preserve, and promote Badagry's cultural and ecological treasures, ensuring they gain visibility in the increasingly digital-focused tourism sector. Dr. Mbonu-Amadi emphasized that these destinations are meant not only for TCI but also for the people of Badagry and future generations who will benefit from understanding and protecting these assets.
