Tinubu Highlights Impact of 21 MSME Hubs Creating 650,000 Jobs Nationwide
President Bola Tinubu has announced that the 21 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) hubs established across Nigeria are instrumental in generating approximately 650,000 jobs. These hubs, located in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, provide vital resources to entrepreneurs to lower operational costs and foster business growth.

In a significant address, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu revealed that Nigeria's 21 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) hubs have collectively supported the creation of around 650,000 jobs. These facilities, strategically located across 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, aim to empower entrepreneurs by providing essential shared equipment, reliable power, and production infrastructure.
The establishment of these hubs is part of the government's broader initiative to stimulate economic growth and reduce unemployment by facilitating easier access to resources for small businesses. By lowering the barriers to entry and operational costs, these hubs are designed to nurture budding entrepreneurs and encourage the expansion of existing small enterprises.
President Tinubu emphasized the critical role that MSMEs play in Nigeria's economy, noting that they account for a significant percentage of the country's employment and gross domestic product (GDP). He stated,
“Our commitment to supporting MSMEs is unwavering, as they are the backbone of our economy. These hubs not only create jobs but also foster innovation and economic resilience.”
In addition to job creation, the hubs offer training programs and business advisory services, aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with the skills necessary to thrive in a competitive market.
