TCN Launches Rehabilitation of Vandalized Towers in Rivers State

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has initiated the rehabilitation of four towers in Rivers State that were previously vandalized, marking a significant step towards restoring stability in the region’s electricity transmission infrastructure. This initiative comes as part of TCN's ongoing commitment to enhance the reliability of power supply in Nigeria, particularly in areas that have been severely affected by acts of vandalism.

In a recent statement, a TCN official highlighted the crucial role that local communities play in safeguarding these essential services. The official called upon residents of Elelenwo, their traditional rulers, and the local government chairman to actively participate in the fight against vandalism, emphasizing that community support is vital for the success of the rehabilitation efforts.

Vandalism of electricity infrastructure has been a persistent problem in Nigeria, leading to significant losses in power generation and distribution.
