Premium Times Journalist Earns Nomination for Prestigious PSHAN Health Investigation Award

A journalist from Premium Times has garnered a nomination for the esteemed PSHAN Health Investigation Award, a recognition that underscores the importance of investigative journalism in the health sector. This nomination not only reflects the journalist's commitment to uncovering critical health issues but also amplifies the vital role of media in promoting transparency and accountability in public health.

The PSHAN (Public Health and Safety Advocacy Network) awards aim to honor outstanding contributions to health journalism, encouraging journalists to delve deeper into health-related matters that affect communities across Nigeria. An expert panel of judges will evaluate the nominations and select the winners based on the impact and quality of their investigations.

The results of this prestigious competition will be revealed during the Annual Awards and Gala Night, which is set to take place on November 20, 2026. This event not only serves as a platform to celebrate journalistic achievements but also aims to inspire a new generation of reporters to focus on critical health issues.

“The nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication of journalists in shedding light on pressing health concerns,” said a representative of PSHAN.

As the event approaches, industry stakeholders and advocates are eagerly anticipating the recognition of those who have made significant contributions to health journalism, with hopes that it will further stimulate public interest in health matters.
