PDP Members in Kaduna Endorse Governor Uba Sani for 2027 Re-Election
Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna's Soba Local Government Area have voiced their support for Governor Uba Sani's re-election, citing significant road construction projects in their communities. Their endorsement highlights a shift in political allegiance based on tangible infrastructure improvements, despite their party affiliation.

In a notable political development, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State have expressed their backing for Governor Uba Sani's re-election bid in 2027. This support stems from the governor's successful road construction initiatives that have positively impacted local communities. The residents' decision reflects a growing trend where voters prioritize individual performance and infrastructural achievements over party loyalty.
One of the prominent voices in this endorsement is Adamu Danburam, a PDP coordinator in the area, who emphasized that the governor's infrastructure projects have met needs that the PDP failed to address during its time in power. Danburam stated, "I am a staunch PDP member, but for us, politics is about individuals. Although we belong to the PDP, I will vote for Uba Sani because he has done for me what the PDP could not do." His statement underscores a pragmatic approach to governance where constituents seek accountability and results.
Moreover, Danburam urged Governor Sani to continue his development agenda, highlighting the community's pressing needs for essential services. He called for the establishment of a hospital, reliable electricity, and potable water for Birnin Da’a village, indicating that while they appreciate the current progress, there is still much work to be done. Such requests reflect the ongoing challenges that local residents face despite recent improvements.
Another PDP member, Dogara Mohammed, echoed similar sentiments, revealing that he has never defected from the opposition party but plans to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming elections due to Sani's performance. This shift in allegiance illustrates a growing trend among voters who are willing to cross party lines in favor of candidates who demonstrate a commitment to development and community welfare.
The endorsement of Governor Uba Sani by members of the PDP in Kaduna serves as a significant reminder of the evolving political landscape in Nigeria, where the electorate increasingly values effective governance over traditional party affiliations. As the 2027 elections approach, this trend may influence the strategies of political parties and candidates across the nation.
