Lagos APC Launches 'Mandate Must Continue' Campaign Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun its campaign for the 2027 governorship and House of Assembly elections, centering its efforts around the theme 'Mandate Must Continue'. This initiative was formally launched by the party's chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, who called upon members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilization across all 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas in Lagos.

During the launch on Tuesday, Ojelabi expressed confidence in the party's established grassroots structure and reiterated the importance of these elections for the state's ongoing development. He stated, “We enter this campaign with confidence, a well-established grassroots structure and a clear understanding of the importance of these elections to the continued development of the state.” The campaign aims to focus on themes of continuity, consolidation, and progress, while highlighting the achievements of the APC administration.

Ojelabi underscored that this election presents an opportunity for Lagos residents to sustain the current trajectory of progress that the state has experienced in recent years. He further acknowledged the political legacy of President Bola Tinubu, noting that his leadership has significantly shaped Lagos politics and governance.

To effectively mobilize support, the APC plans to engage various community segments, including traditional institutions, professional groups, women and youth organizations, as well as market associations. Ojelabi emphasized the necessity of reaching out to all stakeholders to ensure a strong and unified campaign as the party prepares for the elections.
