In a bold declaration, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has affirmed that the state is poised to cast its votes in favor of President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 elections. This statement marks a notable departure from the 2023 presidential election outcome, where Tinubu was outperformed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in Kaduna.

Governor Sani made the announcement during a reception for the Support Groups Directorate of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) at the Government House in Kaduna. The event was attended by thousands of supporters who participated in a pre-election solidarity walk, demonstrating their commitment to Tinubu's leadership.

“Kaduna State will support President Tinubu and vote massively for him in recognition of his achievements. We encourage our supporters to remain united, peaceful and committed to engaging the people as we prepare for Saturday's rally,”

Sani's remarks come in the wake of the 2023 elections, where Tinubu secured only two local government areas and finished with 399,293 votes compared to Atiku's 554,360 votes. The governor emphasized the importance of political engagement and unity among supporters as they gear up for a significant rally scheduled for this Saturday.

With this renewed commitment, Governor Sani is rallying the APC and its supporters in Kaduna to ensure a formidable presence in the upcoming elections. The shift in voter sentiment illustrates the changing political landscape in the state and the efforts of the APC to mobilize grassroots support ahead of the critical election.
