APC National Working Committee Declares Readiness for 2027 Elections After Comprehensive Review

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially declared the party's readiness for the upcoming 2027 general elections after conducting a detailed review of its structures across the nation. This announcement was made by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, during a press conference held at the conclusion of a three-day retreat in Maiduguri.

During the news briefing, Yilwatda explained that the assessment encompassed the party's hierarchy from the national level down to local government, ward levels, and polling units. He expressed satisfaction with the findings, stating that the party received a “clean bill of health,” which reinforces the NWC's confidence in the APC's organizational strength ahead of the elections.

Furthermore, the NWC passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, and other candidates who emerged from the party's primary elections. Yilwatda highlighted the importance of reconciliation efforts, urging state chapters that have not yet established reconciliation committees to do so. He believes that fostering unity within the party is crucial for consolidating support and addressing internal conflicts as the elections approach.

In addition to internal reconciliation, Yilwatda announced that the NWC would actively engage in campaign activities to effectively communicate the policies and programs of the Tinubu administration to the electorate. The committee also reviewed the results of recent off-cycle and by-elections, expressing satisfaction with the APC’s performance, which they believe lays a solid foundation for the party's prospects in the forthcoming elections.
